„Strahlen“ in the Valais / Switzerland august 2012

After some wet mountain climbing tours, we found a perfect period mid of august for a “Strahler-trip” in Wallis area/Switzerland. The sunny and warm days brought us small finds of smoky quartz and we were lucky to open a large cleft with clear Quartz crystals up to 25 cm. The glacier smelted during the warm summer and without “hammer and chisel work” we could collect the whole pocket.
We want to thank our friends Patrick and Matthias for this unforgettable experience!
